Position Overview
The QEHS Director is responsible for leading and managing the Quality, Environmental, Health, and Safety (QEHS) initiatives within the organization. The role involves developing strategies to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards, promoting a culture of safety and quality, and driving continuous improvement across all operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the organization's QEHS policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with ISO 14001, RCRA, and Environmental Health and Safety regulations
- Lead audits and assessments to monitor compliance and identify areas for improvement
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate quality and safety practices into operations
- Provide training and resources to staff on QEHS standards and practices
- Analyze data and prepare reports on QEHS performance and compliance
- Act as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies and stakeholders regarding QEHS matters
- Promote a culture of safety and quality across the organization
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Occupational Health, or related field
- Minimum 10 years of experience in QEHS management roles
- Proven experience with ISO 14001 and RCRA compliance
- Strong understanding of Environmental Health and Safety regulations
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Certifications in EHS or related fields are a plus
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards is advantageous
