Position Summary:
The Senior HR Generalist will run the daily functions of Human Resources (HR) including recruiting and interviewing staff, processing payroll, administering benefits and leave, updating Employee Handbook, and enforcing company policies and practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Manages the payroll and benefits processes. Monitors best practices in compensation and benefits through research and education.
Processes bi-weekly payroll and manages HR/payroll system.
Recruits and interviewsqualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
Coordinate background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
Implements and conducts onboardingand employee recognition programs.
Handles employment-related inquiriesfrom applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
Oversees employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management.
Maintains compliancewith federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews and creates policies and procedures to maintain compliance.
Processes and tracks workers compensation claims.
This role requires travel, potentially once per month, to the Cincinnati location.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 3 years human resource experience is required.
Bachelors degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
SHRM Certification preferred.
Knowledge and experience using payroll and HR software, preferably CentrallyHR.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.

Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to work in a fast-paced, industrial environment.
Occasional travel to supplier and customer sites.
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. and sit for extended periods.
