Day-to-Day Tasks:
- Perform repairs and optimize the workings of industrial refrigeration systems.
- Engage in preventive maintenance, following OSHA guidelines, across our warehouse operations.
- Troubleshoot machinery with precision and suggest optimal solutions.
- Use diagnostic tools like multi-meters to ensure equipment is working flawlessly.
- Preserve tool and machinery integrity by following instructed usage practices.
- Perform safety checks regularly to ensure compliance with OSHA standards.
- Document preventive maintenance activities meticulously.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, adhering to 6S principles.
- Adapt to different shifts, including the possibility of being on-call.
- Complete other required maintenance jobs and assignments as needed.
Required Experience/Education:
- High school or GED completion
- A minimum of 2 years in refrigeration or maintenance fields
**Or**
- Specific certification in HVAC/R or a technical degree
- Completion of required courses in Industrial Refrigeration/mechanical-electrical.
- Certification in HAZMAT and ongoing certification upkeep needed.
- Basic proficiency in computer usage (for emails, internet, data entry).
Preferred Skills:
- Prior Cold Storage environment experience
- Proficiency in testing equipment usage
- Expertise in troubleshooting down to component levels
- Familiarity with Oracle CMMS
- Holding a technical certification or degree

Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job • May be required to tolerate working environment with inside controlled temperatures of –20 degrees Fahrenheit and outside ambient temperatures (including heat, cold and precipitation). • Must be able to work at heights in excess of 35 ft. and be able to access elevated platforms and catwalk. • Must be able to climb ladders and stairs. • Frequently required to stand; walk; push; pull; reach with hands and arms; stoop; kneel; and crouch • Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. • Must be able to use hand and power tools. • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and depth perception. Either naturally or with the aid of eye glasses (use of contacts are prohibited when working with ammonia). • Able to work nights and weekends. • Able to pass a physical and respiratory exam.
