Qualifications:
- Associate Degree
- Five years of experience in plastics molding maintenance, including in-depth knowledge of:
- Hydraulic systems
- Servo drives and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
- Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs)
- Compressors
- Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC)
- Electro-Mechanical Systems
- Mechanical Systems
- Pneumatic Systems
- High-Pressure Plastic Molding
- Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed
- Basic reading, writing, and math skills
Responsibilities:
The Senior Plastics Molding Technician will provide technical and manufacturing expertise in the plastics molding area.
Responsibilities include:
- Ensuring machine uptime, troubleshooting issues, and performing preventive maintenance and repairs on molding machines, robots, and other auxiliary equipment to minimize downtime and maintain production.
- Conduct breakdown maintenance, training, and work order management for all plastics molding and auxiliary equipment.
- Setting up machines, facilitating changeovers, optimizing processes, troubleshooting production issues, and collaborating with maintenance, quality, and automation teams to solve problems and enhance the overall molding process.
Essential Job Duties:
- Support team members in operations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and operating all plastics molding equipment.
- Ensure excellent mechanical maintenance through communication and inspections.
- Act as on-call emergency support for machinery troubleshooting issues.
- Work with teammates to analyze production failures and prevent recurrence.
- Maintain a safe and clean workshop environment by following safety guidelines.
- Report all emergencies, injuries, and production incidents immediately to the shift supervisor.
- Performs related work as assigned by the Manager.
