Position Overview
We are seeking a Level 2 Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience operating Haas 3-axis and 5-axis CNC mills, a strong understanding of G-code, and the ability to read and interpret complex blueprints. This role is ideal for someone with a solid foundation in machining who is ready to take the next step in building their skills toward becoming a senior-level machinist.
Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC mills (Haas VF and UMC series).

Load and inspect parts per print and quality standards.

Read, interpret, and follow blueprints, GD&T, and work instructions.

Perform tool offsets, work offsets, and basic edits at the control.

Conduct in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other precision measuring tools.

Maintain proper documentation of parts and quality control records.

Assist in fixture setup, work holding, and tooling adjustments.

Work with supervisors and senior machinists to improve processes and reduce setup times.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Requirements

2–4 years of machining experience (CNC mill focus preferred).

Experience operating Haas machines (VF, UMC series preferred).

Ability to read blueprints and apply GD&T principles.

Basic knowledge of G-code and editing at the machine.

Familiarity with precision measuring equipment.

Strong attention to detail, quality-first mindset.

Ability to work independently and as part of a small, fast-paced team.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience with 3 and 5-axis machining.

Exposure to CAM software (Mastercam, Fusion 360, or similar).

Aerospace or defense industry background.

Understanding of ISO 9001 / AS9100 quality standards.
