Position Summary:
The Occupational Training Coordinator is responsible for scheduling both in-person and
virtual training sessions and increase industry awareness about the programs and
services offered by the Safety Council of Palm Beach County.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
The following duties and functions, as outlined herein, are intended to be representative of the
type of tasks performed within this classification. They are not listed in any order of importance.

duties may be required and assigned.
Build relationships with new and existing clients to ensure continuity of services and
support is maintained.
Manage private classes including scheduling, venue selection, and instructor
preparation.
Mange all open enrollment classes including scheduling, marketing, and outreach
efforts.
Create invoices for training and membership.
Maintain database for membership and program involvement.
Coordinate with instructors to ensure topics are on point and relevant to the client’s
needs.
Maintain a training calendar of on-site and off-site program offerings.
Identify and develop, in conjunction with instructors, new program ideas.
Help in the creation of marketing materials to effectively promote services available to
prospective users.
Welcome guests and test takers serve as one of the organization’s proctors.
Meet monthly with Executive Director and Operation Manager to review departments
Accounts Receivables.
Report students pass/fail to appropriate agency(s) and/or client.
Produce quarterly report for Executive Director regarding department’s progress.
Order course booklets, train the trainer binders and other department materials.
Provide the finance department with the required information for the annual 990 report.
Help prepare for annual safety awards luncheon and golf tournament.
Attend trade shows and conferences as requested.
Other duties assigned by a supervisor.
Qualifications:
Associate’s degree with relevant industry experience, or any equivalent
combination of education and experience
Minimum 5 years’ experience in coordinating programs, training or other
related field; construction industry and/or safety experience is preferred
Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively in a small office
environment
Ability to understand people, processes, procedures and how they are
interrelated
Strong business acumen
Knowledge of instructional design, e-learning design and training
technologies
Ability to think strategically and analytically
Project and time management skills
Strong writing/editing skills
Ability to use Quick books, Word, Excel and Microsoft Office
Occasional local travel
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 per year + Commission
