Customer Service Representative | Walker, MI
Salary Range: $41,000 - $61,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding product specifications, order status, and delivery schedules.
- Investigate and resolve customer complaints related to product quality, shipping errors, or service issues.
- Collaborate with production, quality control, and logistics teams to provide accurate and timely information to customers.
- Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, transactions, and resolutions in the CRM system.
- Process customer orders, returns, and exchanges, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Provide technical assistance and product information to customers, guiding them through product selection and usage.
- Identify and escalate recurring customer issues or potential product improvements to relevant departments.
Recommended Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree preferred
- 2+ years of experience in customer service, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly
- Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to understand and interpret customer needs related to manufacturing products
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on customer satisfaction
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite)
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes or terminology
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings or specifications
- Certification in a relevant area (e.g., Six Sigma Yellow Belt, Lean Manufacturing basics)
- Multilingual proficiency, particularly in languages relevant to the company's supply chain or customer base
