Responsibilities
The Senior Manager of Inside Sales is a highly visible, cross-functional leadership role responsible for shaping, optimizing, and scaling SiteOne’s Inside Sales program. This role does not have direct people management responsibility; instead, success depends on the ability to lead through influence, build strong partnerships with Field Sales and Branch leadership, and drive results through strategy, enablement, analytics, and coaching.
This role sits at the intersection of Sales, Marketing, Branch Operations, and Data/CRM, and plays a critical role in ensuring Inside Sales is effective, measurable, and aligned with enterprise growth priorities. This role is ideal for a leader who wants to build and scale a strategic commercial capability and grow with it over time.
Key Responsibilities
Inside Sales Strategy & Program Development
- Lead and scale SiteOne’s Inside Sales function, supporting program strategy development, execution and optimization
- Help define the role of Inside Sales across customer segments (e.g., new, declining, underpenetrated accounts) and ensure alignment with Field Sales and Branch teams
- Identify opportunities to improve coverage models, engagement strategies, and overall program effectiveness
Field Partnership & Influence
- Build strong, trusted relationships with RSDs, Branch Managers, and Field Sales leaders
- Act as a connective tissue between Inside Sales and the field to ensure clarity on ownership, handoffs, and expectations
- Proactively address friction points and ensure Inside Sales is viewed as a value-adding extension of the sales organization
Coaching & Enablement
- Coach Inside Sales Representatives through call reviews, feedback sessions, and best-practice sharing
- Develop and refine call scripts, talk tracks, playbooks, and workflows that improve consistency and effectiveness
- Partner with Sales Enablement and Marketing to ensure reps have the right tools, technology, training, and messaging
Analytics, Measurement & Performance Management
- Design and own a comprehensive Inside Sales measurement framework, including KPIs and metrics that evaluate program effectiveness and ROI
- Analyze performance data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for optimization
- Establish feedback loops between data, the field, and Inside Sales teams to drive continuous improvement
Executive Communication
- Regularly prepare and deliver performance updates to leaders at all levels, from sales leadership to senior executives
- Translate data into clear, compelling insights that inform decision-making and support investment prioritization
- Ensure Inside Sales performance, impact, and learnings are clearly understood across the organization
Lead Quality Optimization
- Partner with Marketing, Data, and CRM teams to improve lead quality and prioritization for Inside Sales
- Continuously refine lead definitions, scoring, and routing based on performance insights and field feedback
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher
- 7+ years of experience in Inside Sales, Sales Strategy, Sales Operations/Enablement, or Commercial Excellence roles
- Demonstrated ability to lead through influence in complex, matrixed organizations
- Strong analytical skills with experience developing KPI frameworks and performance reporting
- Proven ability to communicate insights clearly to both field leaders and executive audiences
- Experience designing sales processes, enablement tools, and feedback mechanisms
- Ability to travel 10% - 15%
Preferred
- Experience in B2B distribution, building materials, or adjacent industries
- Salesforce experience (Sales Cloud, reporting, dashboards)
- Experience supporting Inside Sales or hybrid sales models without direct line management
