Position: RN-PACU-Post Anesthetic Care Unit (Travel/Contract)

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality patient care in the Post Anesthetic Care Unit.

  • Monitor patients' vital signs and recovery progress post-anesthesia.

  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.

  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training programs.

  • Educate patients and families on post-operative care and recovery.

  • Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure seamless patient transitions.

  • Adhere to safety protocols and infection control measures.

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities.

  • Evaluate patient responses to interventions and adjust care plans accordingly.

  • Support a culture of accountability and high visibility in work activities.

  • Engage in performance measurement and improvement initiatives.


Experience/Qualifications

  • Must have active RN license in Oklahoma.

  • Experience in PACU or similar critical care settings preferred.

  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

  • Strong knowledge of post-anesthesia care protocols and procedures.

  • Ability to monitor and interpret vital signs effectively.

  • Understanding of safety protocols and infection control measures.

  • Excellent communication skills for patient and team interactions.

  • Proficient in maintaining accurate patient documentation.

  • Ability to adapt care plans based on patient responses.

  • Experience in collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
