Population Health Assistant (MCH / EPSDT)
Location: Tucson, AZ (Preferred) | Mesa, AZ (Considered)
Schedule: Full-Time | Onsite Training Required
Medasource is seeking two Population Health Assistants to support a growing Maternal Child Health (MCH) and EPSDT (Well-Child) program with one of Arizona's leading healthcare organizations.
This is an excellent opportunity for healthcare administrative professionals, medical records specialists, health information management professionals, patient access representatives, referral coordinators, or individuals with healthcare data entry experience looking to gain experience within population health.
Responsibilities
- Review electronic medical records and incoming faxed documentation for pediatric well-child visits
- Identify and extract key clinical and demographic information from patient records
- Enter data accurately into internal population health databases and tracking systems
- Verify documentation completeness and ensure data integrity
- Support care gap closure and preventive health initiatives
- Navigate multiple systems while maintaining productivity and accuracy standards
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members to ensure timely processing of records
Required Qualifications
- Strong computer and data entry skills
- Ability to work independently and maintain a high level of accuracy
- Experience navigating electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage repetitive tasks while maintaining quality
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience reviewing medical records or clinical documentation
- Healthcare administrative experience
- Health Information Management (HIM) experience
- Pediatrics, family practice, or population health experience
- Experience with chart abstraction, HEDIS, quality improvement, or care gap initiatives
