Wing King is Virginia Beach’s lively sports bar, proudly serving up wings, fries, and fan-favorite appetizers in a high-energy, family-friendly atmosphere. Join our friendly kitchen crew where quality, speed, and customer satisfaction come first!
What You’ll Do
- Could you set up your cooking station with all necessary ingredients and equipment (think wings, sauces, fryers, and grillers)?
- Prep and portion menu items such as wings, chicken tenders, fries, and other bar classics.
- Prepare and cook dishes to order using fryers, grills, and ovens according to recipes and company standards.
- Plate and garnish dishes for great presentation before serving to guests.
- Monitor food quality and consistency for every item during busy shifts.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen, following health codes and sanitation procedures.
- Please store all food items properly and let management know about low stock or supply needs.
- Work as a team with other kitchen staff and front-of-house to ensure fast, accurate orders.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience as a cook, kitchen assistant, or similar fast-paced expertise (especially with wings or fried foods)
- Skilled in using fryers, grills, and standard bar/restaurant equipment
- Strong multi-tasking skills and the ability to move quickly during rushes
- Outstanding attention to food safety and cleanliness
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift to 30 lbs during shifts
- Basic knowledge of food preparation and portion control
- Great communication, teamwork, and a positive attitude
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
