Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including management or supervisory experience.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP) and financial management practices.
  • Experience in wholesale, distribution, or related industries preferred.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to manage staff and work cross-functionally

Day to Day Responsibilities:

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee the financial operations of our wholesale distribution business. This role is responsible for managing the general accounting functions, supervising accounts payable and accounts receivable, and ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial reporting. The Accounting Manager will play a critical role in supporting business growth by providing financial insights and maintaining strong internal controls.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily accounting operations including general ledger, month-end, and year-end processes.
  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff handling accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general accounting tasks.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of vendor payments, customer billing, and collections.
  • Monitor cash flow, reconcile accounts, and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis for management decision-making.
  • Establish and maintain policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Collaborate with other departments to streamline accounting processes and support operational efficiency.
  • Coordinate with external auditors, tax professionals, and banking partners.
