Job Title: Automation Technician
Job Description
- We are seeking a dedicated Automation Technician to join our team
- As an integral part of our team, you will work closely with Automation Engineers to ensure that all equipment runs according to specifications
- This role requires a keen eye for detail, technical expertise, and flexibility
Responsibilities
- Work closely with Automation Engineers to ensure existing equipment is operating in accordance with specifications, including troubleshooting, debugging, start-up, and programming of automated equipment and upgrades
- Serve as a technical expert for electrical circuits, program logic controls, vision inspection, and automation
- Coordinate the development and maintenance of effective maintenance specifications and preventative maintenance programs
- Participate in the design of automated machines, equipment, systems, devices, and fixtures to support assembly requirements
- Recommend improvements to equipment and manufacturing methods
- Assist maintenance personnel with diagnosing software and electrical system problems
- Support Maintenance with equipment repairs in the event of a failure
- Collaborate with production, maintenance, and engineering to optimize equipment performance
- Assist Automation Engineers in executing Engineering Change Requests (ECR) for equipment changes
- Ensure availability for off-shift requirements as needed
Essential Skills
- Minimum of 2 years as an Automation Technician with a focus on controls
- Proficiency in PLC programming, particularly with Allen Bradley
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical and programming issues, making minor adjustments as needed
- Familiarity with HMI systems and Logic Vision systems
- Experience with low voltage wiring (120V) and ability to read blueprints and schematics
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $38.00/hr.
