Will Power Excavation is looking for an experienced Pipe/Utilities Superintendent to hire immediately. Looking for the highest quality candidate with top notch attitude, work ethic and ability to teach the next generation of pipelayers. We’re a strong Non-Union outfit that is making an impact on an age-old industry. The company has grown from scratch with a path and vision to be THE major force of dirt and pipe in the Indianapolis Market with a backlog of work for 2026 to back it up. Requirements:

  • Minimum experience- 5+ years laying water utility infrastructure for new development. (Those that do not meet this minimum NEED NOT APPLY)
  • Extensive knowledge of Indiana American Water and Citizens Energy Group Installation Specifications and Requirements.
  • Thorough knowledge of many different Indianapolis surrounding municipality specifications (i.e. Plainfield, Fishers, Carmel, Zionsville, Noblesville, McCordsville, etc.)
  • Proficiency and comfortability with computer-based management tools (Laptops, iPads, production-tracking software) and the ability to give detailed and data-driven debriefings on a consistent and daily basis.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and oversee installation of water, sewer, storm, and dry utilities.
  • Coordinate locates, potholing, and traffic control with stakeholders.
  • Ensure trench safety, shoring, and confined space procedures.
  • Manage tie‐ins, testing, and inspections with authorities.
  • Track quantities, as‐builts, and restoration activities.
  • Lead personnel through holding, foremost, yourself accountable as well as your crew.
  • Management of others through coaching, teaching, training, mentoring, and regular reviews. Inspire career development!
  • Accountability to face situations that fall short as opportunity for those around you to learn through open dialogue and perspective during management/ Ops meetings.
  • Must demand & reinforce a safety-minded culture including adherence to applicable rules & regulations, toolbox talks, & PPE.
  • Accountability to inspect/reject pipe or fittings delivered onsite prior to installation.
  • Encourage safe production while meeting/beating deadlines.
  • Know our contract scope of work, manage and track change orders appropriately to communicate with accounting and project management within.
  • Manage project during/after inclement weather.
