Job Description
- Opportunities to cross-train in material handling or CNC machining
- Work primarily at a seated workstation
- Operate industrial sewing machines to produce heat-resistant products
- Products include mesh bags, filters, flex trough components, blankets, and pads
- Hands-on role focused on quality, accuracy, and safety
Responsibilities
- Read and follow drawings, work instructions, and SOPs
- Operate sewing machines to assemble products and components
- Inspect in-process and finished products for quality and accuracy
- Set up machines (load thread, guide threading, prepare equipment)
- Control machine speed using pedal or knee lever
- Cut fabric and materials to size
- Perform hand sewing when needed
- Move and organize materials and finished products
- Support assembly, packaging, and inspection tasks
- Assist other areas (material handling, CNC) as needed
- Keep work area clean and follow safety/PPE guidelines
- Meet production goals independently or with a team
Essential Skills
- Experience with industrial sewing machines (setup, threading, basic troubleshooting)
- Ability to read and follow instructions and drawings
- Strong attention to detail
- Good hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods doing repetitive tasks
- Accurate material cutting skills
- Comfortable in a manufacturing/production environment
- Able to work independently and with a team
- Able to lift up to 25 lbs regularly
- Willing to learn new skills and tasks
- Focus on safety, quality, and procedures
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in industrial or production environments preferred
- Sewing, cutting, or assembly work is a plus
- Hand sewing experience helpful
- Interest in hands-on or creative work (e.g., crafts, sewing)
- Problem-solving and creative thinking skills
- Reliable, positive, and eager to learn
- Comfortable working with fiberglass (may cause irritation)

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Spokane Valley, WA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.25 - $19.00/hr.
