Job Title: Medical Assistant – Gastroenterology Clinic

Schedule:
Monday – Friday
Start time between 8:00 AM – 8:30 AM

Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our busy Gastroenterology clinic in Winston Salem, NC. This role involves supporting multiple providers in a fast-paced environment while delivering high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Room patients and prepare them for provider visits
• Obtain and document vital signs
• Perform medication reconciliation
• Assist with procedure preparation
• Administer injections as directed
• Collect rectal swab specimens
• Maintain accurate and timely patient records
• Ensure exam rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for use

Patient Volume:

• Support rotating providers
• Assist with up to 28 patients per day

Additional Information:

• No blood draws required (on-site lab handles all phlebotomy)

Compensation:

• $18 – $23 per hour (based on experience)

Qualifications:

• Active Medical Assistant certification required through one of the following:
• • National Healthcareer Association (NHA)
  • American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
  • American Medical Technologists (AMT)
• Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Excellent communication and patient care skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume setting
