Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Provide comprehensive speech and language therapy services to individuals ages 4-21 within a therapeutic day school setting dedicated to supporting students with high-needs autism spectrum disorders and other developmental disabilities. This full-time, contract position operates on a school-year schedule, with hours from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM.

Responsibilities include conducting thorough assessments to identify speech and language needs, developing individualized intervention plans, and employing a range of service delivery models tailored to student requirements. The role involves close collaboration with interdisciplinary educational and therapeutic teams to ensure cohesive support and maximize student progress.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Masters degree in Speech and Language Pathology
  • Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Speech Language Pathology endorsement
  • Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) license
  • Experience working with children with autism spectrum disorders
  • Familiarity with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) methods preferred
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills within multidisciplinary settings
