About the Role:
This role will work closely with a site Project Manager to complete engineering cycle time studies of existing processes and perform updates to Engineering Masters. The successful candidate will receive training to ensure a standard approach is followed including proper documentation is completed. This role provides the opportunity to learn manufacturing processes at a leading medical device contract manufacture. Through working with engineering, they will be able to offer suggestions for process improvement as assigned processes are reviewed.
Responsibilities:
- Complete engineering cycle times studies using a defined process after appropriate training.
- Compile, document, and summarize results to be used to update Engineering Masters which provide input to costing, planning, and resource allocation.
- Perform updates to Engineering Master in our ERP system (Visual).
- Work with the project lead, production, and planning to identify job status and availability to complete studies.
- May include creating standard work documentation as scope and workload allows.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or General Education Equivalency Diploma (GED). Pursuing a career in Manufacturing or related degree.
- 3+ months of Manufacturing experience.
- Ability to record and document data accurately.
- Ability to summarize results utilizing Excel.
- Ability to learn how to perform basic updates in our ERP system (Visual).
- Communicate clearly in English.
- Stand for extended periods of time as needed while on the shop floor capturing cycle times.
