Instructional Aide Substitutes Needed San Francisco, CA (Per Diem, Flexible Schedule)
Spindle is seeking compassionate and dedicated Instructional Aides to provide vital 1:1 and small-group support to students in school settings. These per diem positions offer flexibility for those looking to make a meaningful impact while working within structured educational environments. Assignments are available based on school coverage needs, allowing you to choose opportunities that fit your schedule.
Position Responsibilities:
- Support students academically, behaviorally, and socially in classroom settings
- Provide individualized or small-group assistance as directed by teachers and school staff
- Assist students with daily routines, classroom transitions, and engagement
- Implement behavior support plans and adhere to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) as applicable
- Support student mobility, supervision, and personal care needs
- Maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment
Requirements (School Compliance):
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum age of 18 years
- TB test according to district guidelines
- Ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting as needed
- Current clearances or willingness to obtain before start date
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in schools, special education, behavioral health, or childcare settings
- Experience supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
- Training in CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention), PMT (Professional Management Training), or RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) is advantageous but not required
- Reliability, patience, and a strong team-oriented mindset
