Growing entrepreneurial business based in Patchouge NY, seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day financial operations. The ideal candidate is reliable, proactive, and comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Record daily transactions and reconcile bank statements.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
  • Assist with payroll processing and tax filings.
  • Monitor cash flow and assist with budgeting and forecasting.
  • Collaborate with external accountants as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
  • Support ad hoc financial projects and reporting as requested by management.

Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
  • Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks preferred) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information.

Preferred:

  • Experience working with small businesses or entrepreneurial environments.
  • Knowledge of payroll and tax compliance in New York State.
