Job Description
Pride Health is seeking a qualified and experienced Registered Dietitian to join a multidisciplinary healthcare team at Port Charlotte, FL 33949 . The ideal candidate will have experience working with adult patient populations and demonstrate the ability to deliver evidence-based nutritional care in a fast-paced acute care setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, and implement individualized nutrition care plans for patients
- Provide medical nutrition therapy for acute and chronic conditions
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting nutrition plans as needed
- Educate patients and families on dietary needs and overall wellness
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility policies
- Participate in weekend and holiday rotation schedules as required
- Patient Population: Adult patients in an acute care hospital setting
Required Qualifications:
- Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential
- Active Florida licensure (if required)
- Minimum 1 year of hospital experience preferred
- Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative healthcare environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in acute care settings
- Familiarity with therapeutic diets and nutrition support protocols
Additional Details:
- Location: Port Charlotte, FL 33949
- Schedule: Day Shift (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
- Contract Length: 13 Weeks (91 Days)
- Open Positions: 1
- Traveler will be scheduled in accordance with facility policy and is expected to work every other weekend and holidays in rotation with hospital employees.
- Parking available on the 3rd or 4th floor of the parking garage for AM & PM shifts.
- No local candidates within 50 miles
Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.
