Welcome to Lifepoint Rehabilitation, formerly known as Towanda Memorial Hospital! We are a proud satellite campus of Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital, located just 17 miles north in Sayre, PA. Since joining Guthrie in April 2015, we have been dedicated to serving Bradford and Sullivan counties, providing essential clinical services to our surrounding communities. Our facility includes a 68-bed skilled nursing unit and a 94-bed personal care home, ensuring comprehensive care for our patients.
Your Role in Our Mission
As an Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA), you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of our adult and geriatric patients. Here’s how you’ll contribute:
- Patient Care: Take responsibility for the care of patients treated by Certified Occupational Therapist Assistants, rehabilitation technicians, and occupational therapy students.
- Assessment & Intervention: Assess patient needs, initiate appropriate occupational therapy interventions, and collaborate with the healthcare team to maintain high standards of care.
- Progress Monitoring: Observe and evaluate treatment effectiveness, adjusting plans as necessary to meet short- and long-term goals.
- Quality Improvement: Conduct timely assessments and quality improvement scoring to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Pain Management: Identify and address patient pain to enhance their participation in rehabilitation.

What We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you should have:
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state of Pennsylvania.
- Previous experience in occupational therapy is preferred but not required.
- Strong oral and written communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
