Job Title: Distribution Manager
Location: Jurupa Valley, CA US 91752
Employment Type: Direct Hire/Full Time
Hours: 6:00AM - 4:30pm
JOB SUMMARY:
Leads a high-functioning team while always representing Client's core values. Manages and optimizes all distribution center activities for our largest multi-customer flagship location, with the goal of exceeding both internal and external customer expectations and operational KPIs. Provides direction and development to the team while driving growth through operational excellence and continuous improvement. Maintains alignment with Client's mission, values, and vision.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & FUNCTIONS:

• Leads a multi-tier team focused on developing and inspiring employees towards continuous improvement while representing Client's core values (respect, integrity, communication, and excellence).

• Makes safety a top priority and both creates and contributes to safety training, awareness, and compliance for all warehouse/fleet personnel.
• Promotes change management by leading the distribution center through process changes, system implementations, and continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring team buy-in and minimal disruption.
• Manages relationships and service levels for multiple client accounts; serves as the primary operational contact for key customers to ensure requirements are met or exceeded.
• Oversees receiving, stocking, inventory control, quarantine, picking, packing, shipping, and transportation of all products.
• Utilizes multiple software platforms and procedures essential to daily business operations and ensures employees are trained to perform transactions confidently and accurately.
• Organizes, plans, and schedules daily activities and applies personnel and resources in a manner to maximize service and contain operational costs.
• Ensures accurate on-time delivery of products to customers utilizing company fleet, qualified temporary drivers, and/or third-party carriers.
• Coordinates warehouse and fleet activities with activities of sales, planning, and freight through frequent and proactive professional communication.
• Owns, maintains and reviews warehouse and fleet activity data and KPI’s to support accuracy, efficiency, quality of service, and on-time delivery.
• Leads hiring, training, and development of subordinates.
• Provides oversight of building, products, vehicles, and equipment security, both during and after business hours.
• Inspects and maintains physical condition of warehouse, grounds, vehicles, trailers, and equipment and leads in setting housekeeping, cleanliness, and organization standards.
• Procures necessary supplies as required.
• Leads all inventory accuracy functions such as daily cycle counting, inventory integrity audits, and non-conforming product management to ensure inventory and accuracy control; resolves inventory discrepancies thoroughly and timely.
• Maintains driver and vehicle compliance system for driver qualifications, drug and alcohol, accidents, inspections, hours of service, unit service, including Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIR’s) and Driver Logs through compliance software.
• Manages and reviews driver routing and monitors performance to ensure delivery of product consistent with company service goals and cost objectives.
• Meets all written ISO quality management system policies, procedures, and work instructions, including equipment inspection and calibration requirements.
• Schedules and coordinates fleet equipment planned maintenance with providers.
• Assists in reviewing and approving employee timesheets, adhering to established payroll cutoffs and regulatory compliance.
