Our organization is on the lookout for a fellowship-trained Electrophysiology Cardiologist to enhance our expanding clinic. As a key player in Iowa's premier community-based Electrophysiology Program, you will collaborate with a dedicated team of specialists, providing cutting-edge therapies and fostering innovation in heart rhythm care throughout Iowa.

Opportunity Highlights

  • Become part of a team comprising 7 Physicians and 6 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs)
  • Manage an average of 11-13 patients daily in the clinic
  • Participate in equitable Electrophysiology call
  • Experience minimal obligations for General Cardiology call
  • Work 2 days in the clinic and 3 days performing procedures
  • Engage in a diverse range of procedures, including implants, extractions, mapping, and ablations of various devices
  • Opportunity to teach in the Cardiology Fellowship program
  • Participate in shared outreach clinics twice a month
  • Involvement in clinical trials

Our Iowa Heart Center, established in 1970, ranks among the largest cardiovascular practices in the United States. Recognized as one of the top 50 cardiovascular hospitals by Fortune/IBM Health, the center includes 44 Physicians and provides a wide array of services such as General Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology, Electrophysiology, Advanced Heart Failure, Cardiovascular Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Preventative Cardiology, and Adult Congenital Heart Disease. The center also boasts an accredited Cardiology Fellowship program with 8 Fellows, operates 8 primary office locations, and serves over 15 outreach facilities across Iowa. With an active clinic research department, the center participates in major STS registries and conducts more than 10,000 cardiac interventions annually.
