Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Here’s an exciting full-time opportunity in a center-based environment serving K–2 students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Developmental Cognitive Disabilities (DCD). This role is designed for educators passionate about individualized instruction, collaboration, and building strong foundations for young learners.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active Minnesota Special Education Teaching License
  • Qualified for licensure in ASD and/or DCD specialties
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or relevant field
  • Experience in a center-based or self-contained classroom
  • Familiarity with case management for students with significant needs
  • Preferred: Previous work with K–2 populations, expertise in behavioral management strategies (such as PBIS or ABA), and experience guiding/mentoring paraprofessional teams
  • Excellent multitasking, organizational, and communication abilities

Your Impact & Responsibilities:

  • Serve as case manager for approximately six K–2 students in a center-based classroom
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s unique needs
  • Deliver differentiated instruction aligned with best practices
  • Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team—including paraprofessionals, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and school psychologists
  • Foster both academic and behavioral growth in students
  • Ensure full compliance with all Minnesota and district requirements
  • Support, coach, and coordinate with paraprofessional staff for optimal student outcomes
