What do we need from you?

(Please note, this list is not all-inclusive, and other related duties may be assigned)

• To provide our residents personal hygiene services to include bedpans, urinals, baths, back rubs, and assistance with showers
• To provide activities for daily living such as assists with meals and feeds patients; ambulates, turns, and positions patients; provides fresh water and nourishment between meals
• To administer elimination assistance including toileting, enema, catheter care, training programs, and cleansing.
• To restrain residents in chair/bed as instructed by physician, and conduct prompt follow-up every 30 minutes
• To provide for comfort of needs of residents
• To be dependable, punctual and maintain a consistent attendance
• To clean, disinfect and return all resident care equipment to storage after use
• To help us identify potential problems and help us find the solution
• To support and enforce infection-control policies and procedures.
• To cooperate and maintain a good rapport with colleagues, medical staff, other departments, and visitors.
• To accept assignments as needed to provide necessary care for residents.

What do you bring to the table?

• A High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of a nursing assistant course that is certified by the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH).
• A clean IDPH background record.
• Previous hospital or senior care experience
• Excellent interpersonal relations and proven communication skills, both verbal and written.

Other federally regulated requirements:

• Must be willing to undergo pre-employment background check, including (MVR) moving vehicle records.
• Must have or be willing to receive the Flu-Shot Vaccine, and TB testing.
• Must be willing to undergo pre-employment drug screening, including cannabis.
• Must be willing to undergo biometric screening.
