What do we need from you?
(Please note, this list is not all-inclusive, and other related duties may be assigned)
- To provide our residents personal hygiene services to include bedpans, urinals, baths, back rubs, and assistance with showers
- To provide activities for daily living such as assists with meals and feeds patients; ambulates, turns, and positions patients; provides fresh water and nourishment between meals
- To administer elimination assistance including toileting, enema, catheter care, training programs, and cleansing.
- To restrain residents in chair/bed as instructed by physician, and conduct prompt follow-up every 30 minutes
- To provide for comfort of needs of residents
- To be dependable, punctual and maintain a consistent attendance
- To clean, disinfect and return all resident care equipment to storage after use
- To help us identify potential problems and help us find the solution
- To support and enforce infection-control policies and procedures.
- To cooperate and maintain a good rapport with colleagues, medical staff, other departments, and visitors.
- To accept assignments as needed to provide necessary care for residents.
What do you bring to the table?
- A High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Successful completion of a nursing assistant course that is certified by the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH).
- A clean IDPH background record.
- Previous hospital or senior care experience
- Excellent interpersonal relations and proven communication skills, both verbal and written.
Other federally regulated requirements:
- Must be willing to undergo pre-employment background check, including (MVR) moving vehicle records.
- Must have or be willing to receive the Flu-Shot Vaccine, and TB testing.
- Must be willing to undergo pre-employment drug screening, including cannabis.
- Must be willing to undergo biometric screening.
