Job Summary:

We are looking for a promising Early-Career Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. This is a great opportunity to work on groundbreaking technologies in an environment that fosters creativity, collaboration, and career growth. Work is on-site 2 to 3 days per week typically, up to 5 days per week occasionally to support production during. On-site requirements negotiable for highly qualified candidates.

You will collaborate closely with mechanical and software engineers cross functional partners to ensure the seamless integration of electrical systems into our products. Priority traits for the ideal candidate include unwavering ability to see tasks through to completion, good technical judgment, being a self starter / learner, and a strong interest in the design of electro-mechanical systems. Excellent communication and collaboration skills are key. Close and supportive mentorship is provided in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design electrical systems and subsystem project documents per customer requirements, Rena and industry best practices / DFx, and industry standards
  • Project documents include schematics, BOM, solid models, test procedures, FMEA, manufacturing documents, etc.
  • Select and source power, sensing, and control components for use with strong chemicals balancing performance and cost
  • Work closely with mechanical and software engineers to integrate electrical components with mechanical systems and control software.
  • Support production, testing, and commissioning teams in troubleshooting, assembly, and integration of electrical systems into final products.
  • Performs extensive testing and validation of designs to ensure reliability, performance, and safety standards are achieved.
  • Conducts research and studies new technologies to innovate and design solutions or products.
  • Conduct risk assessments and detailed in-process design reviews with cross functional partners as a design input.
  • Optimize design requirements within budget and schedule constraints

Qualifications:

  • Electrical Engineering (any level) degree or equivalent
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical systems
  • Proficiency in electrical system design (e.g. schematic creation, power / sensing / controls / motion / thermal component selection)
  • Experience with PLCs, control systems, or embedded systems
  • Familiarity with DFx concepts such as design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for testability (DFT)
  • Familiarity with standard Microsoft Office products
  • This job does not include PCBA design

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3 years of relevant experience
  • 5 year informal commitment
  • Direct experience designing systems for semiconductor processing equipment or related industries
  • SolidWorks 3D, SolidWorks Electrical, and Visio Electra experience
  • Project management experience

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:
