Job Title: Development Process Engineer (Manufacturing Process Engineer II)
Location: Plymouth, MN (On-site)
Contract Duration: 1 Year
Work Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Exemption Status: Non-Exempt
Position Summary:
The Development Process Engineer supports manufacturing and product development to optimize both new and existing production processes. This role ensures production goals are met by improving equipment performance and addressing quality issues. Collaboration with Quality and R&D teams is essential to successfully integrate new products and processes into manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities:

Ensure compliance with all applicable corporate and divisional policies and procedures.

Support technical activities for new or improved products/processes aligned with current and next-gen programs.

Analyze and solve engineering problems, ranging from basic to complex, using innovative approaches.

Develop expertise in a specialized engineering area and serve as a subject matter expert.

Apply understanding of business needs and emerging technology trends in task execution.

Foster and utilize internal and external networks to complete tasks efficiently.

Mentor new engineers and team members by sharing technical knowledge and guidance.

Collaborate cross-functionally and serve as a consultant on key engineering or scientific matters.

Communicate findings through reports and presentations to stakeholders.
Supervision & Scope:

Supervision Received: Works under close supervision; follows detailed instructions.

Influence/Leadership: Begins building internal networks; influence typically at peer level.

Planning/Organization: Completes daily tasks according to schedule with supervisor guidance.

Decision-Making: Exercises authority within defined limits; mistakes are generally recoverable without major impact.
Required Qualifications:

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field. -
Experience:
2–5+ years of relevant work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. -
Technical Skills:
-
Basic knowledge of engineering principles, practices, and procedures.

Limited understanding of business functions within the unit.
-
Ability to work in a regulated, quality-driven environment.
-
Capable of solving routine problems with minimal independent decision-making.
