Job DescriptionMinimum 1+ years speech therapy experience required.
A licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is sought to provide comprehensive therapy services to K-12 students in an educational setting in Lovington, NM. This contract position runs from July 22, 2025, through May 28, 2026, with an anticipated 37.5 hours per week, serving one to two schools within the district. The caseload typically ranges between 65 to 70 students, supported by Assistant Speech-Language Pathologists (ASLs) when necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized speech and language therapy services to K-12 students.
- Develop, implement, and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with district standards.
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress monitoring.
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and support staff to optimize student outcomes.
- Participate in paid team meetings and complete indirect administrative hours.
- Provide supervision when applicable based on certification level.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid SLP licensure suitable for school-based practice.
- Experience working with diverse student populations across the K-12 spectrum.
- Familiarity with caseload management within school settings.
- Ability to adapt therapy techniques to meet a wide range of communication needs.
- Proficient in IEP processes and documentation.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

- Therapy sessions are conducted in designated therapy spaces within assigned schools.
