RxBenefits is seeking a Sr. Manager, Quality Engineering to lead our Quality Engineering (QE) function across the organization. This role is responsible for shaping the future of quality across our technology ecosystem—driving strategy, automation, and operational excellence to ensure resilient, scalable, and high-performing products.

The Sr. Manager will partner closely with Product, Engineering, Data, DevOps, and SRE teams to embed quality throughout the development lifecycle, accelerate speed-to-market, and deliver consistent, reliable outcomes for our clients and members. The ideal candidate is a proven quality leader with deep technical expertise, strong organizational leadership, and a track record of building global, high-performing QE teams.
Essential Job Responsibilities Include:
- Define, evolve, and execute the enterprise QE vision, strategy, and roadmap, ensuring alignment with organizational goals in partnership with the Sr. Director of Engineering
- Drive automation maturity and test architecture across UI, API, data pipelines, and backend systems to improve release velocity and confidence.
- Establish and govern software quality metrics, KPIs, and standards to ensure release readiness, minimize defect leakage, and improve system reliability.
- Partner with DevOps and SRE to embed performance, monitoring, and observability into CI/CD pipelines.
- Lead the development, adoption, and standardization of scalable automation frameworks across teams.
- Foster cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Product, and Data teams to cultivate a strong “quality-first” mindset across the organization.
- Build, mentor, and retain quality engineering teams, ensuring career growth, skill development, and succession planning.
- Champion modern testing practices such as shift-left testing, continuous testing, and integration of security and performance validation.
- Continuously evaluate and introduce emerging tools, practices, and technologies to advance QE capabilities.
Required Skills / Experience:
- Bachelor’s or master’s in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in QA or Software Engineering, with at least 3+ years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience driving quality automation and strategy across complex, distributed systems.
- Strong knowledge of Agile, DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and modern testing approaches.
- Hands-on experience with test automation tools such as Cypress (preferred), Playwright, Selenium, or equivalent.
- Familiarity with data validation, performance testing, and backend system testing.
- Experience with cloud environments (AWS preferred).
- Demonstrated ability to work with global QA teams across manual and automation disciplines.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Cypress preferred
- AWS preferred
Based on relevant market data and other factors, the anticipated hiring range for this role is $140,000 - $160,000 annually. Final compensation rates will be determined based on various factors, including but not limited to experience, skills, knowledge, and internal equity considerations. This role is also short-term incentive eligible. Incentive amounts will vary by individual and business goals.
