Job DescriptionSr. Payroll Administrator (Hybrid Schedule – 3 Days Onsite / 2 Days Remote)
Location: Walnut
Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Administrator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing weekly and bi-weekly payroll processing, ensuring accuracy in employee compensation, deductions, and tax withholdings. You’ll collaborate closely with division personnel to resolve payroll discrepancies and support system-related inquiries. This position plays a key role in maintaining compliance and ensuring timely and accurate payroll operations.
Key Responsibilities

Process weekly and bi-weekly payrolls, including time sheet collection, commissions, and bonuses.

Calculate hours worked, overtime, gross pay, deductions, and withholdings.

Manage direct deposit setups, changes, and terminations.

Submit ACH files for interim and direct deposit payments.

Maintain and update PTO balances in JDE.

Process wage garnishments on a weekly/bi-weekly basis.

Prepare payroll reports and issue checks as needed.

Post and correct journal entries to the general ledger.

Reconcile payroll taxes and ensure accurate GL deposits.

Conduct annual W-2 reviews and balancing.

Ensure payroll reports and journals are balanced and ready for GL posting.

Provide support to division staff on payroll and system-related issues.
Qualifications

5–6 years of hands-on payroll experience (in-house processing preferred).

Strong knowledge of payroll procedures, wage & hour laws, CA labor law, and union requirements.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook; experience with JDE preferred.

Familiarity with garnishment processing and compliance.

Experience with time and attendance systems (e.g., e-Time, Kronos).

Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a deadline-driven environment.

Willingness to work overtime during payroll processing periods.

Pay Details: $75,000.00 to $82,000.00 per year
