Scope of Work:
The primary purpose of this role is to support and monitor on-site Safety, Health, Environmental, and Energy Management programs, ensuring compliance with EM 385-1-1, OSHA, Environmental Management System (EMS), federal energy mandates, and all contract-specific requirements. This role assists in integrating safety, sustainability, and energy initiatives into daily operations while supporting overall contract performance.
Responsibilities:
- Support the SSHO in implementing andmaintainingthe site-specific Accident Prevention Plan (APP) and Health & Safety Program.
- Conduct routine inspections, audits, and assessments to ensure compliance with EM 385-1-1, OSHA, EMS, 29 CFR 1926.16, and contract requirements.
- Monitor daily work activities to ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and energy compliance standards.
- Identify, document, and report hazards, deficiencies, and non-compliance issues to the SSHO, andassistin corrective actions.
- Assistin ensuring all contract activities align with Environmental Management System (EMS) requirements.
- Support tracking and monitoring of environmental, sustainability, and energy performance metrics.
- Maintainaccuraterecords of inspections, findings, and corrective actions.
- Participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and incident investigations as directed by the SSHO.
- Coordinate with site personnel and subcontractors to promote compliance and safe work practices.
- Support overall contract compliance by ensuring work is performedin accordance withapplicable regulations and standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- Five (5) years of construction safety management experience on projects ofsimilar sizeand complexity.
- Completion of a 40-hour EM 385-1-1 course(or ability to obtain within a specifiedtimeframe)
- Current OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Certificationpreferred
- Basic knowledge of environmental regulations and federal energy requirements.
- Proficiencyin Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with work order systems such as Maximo preferred.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Musthold andmaintaina Tier5 (Top Secret / SCI) government security clearance, ifrequiredfor the position.
- Must be able tomaintainthe ability to access thegovernment worksite.
- Mustpossessand maintain a valid state driver’s license and a safe driving record,in accordance withcompany policy, tooperatevehicles or equipment asrequiredfor the position.
Physical Demands / Work Environment:
- This position is primarily performed in an office setting; however, regular site visits and field inspections arerequired.Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and navigateactive work siteswhen necessary. This may include standing, walking, bending, or climbing for extended periods while wearing personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Must be able to work on-call,alternate, andextendedshift schedules when necessary to meet the mission requirements, including weekends and holidays.
All candidates must successfully complete pre-employment screening, which may include but is not limited to a criminal background check, motor vehicle record review, and a 5-panel drug test, in accordance with company policy and applicable laws.
