Job Summary:
Industry leading children’s consumer goods company on a rapid growth pace is seeking an Operations Coordinator to report to the Director of Operations. The Operations Coordinator will assist in key aspects of the companies’ domestic logistics for both US and internal operations. The role entails inventory control, working with third party logistics partners, enhancing systems and processes, and collaborating with the Sales and Finance department. An ideal candidate will be a passionate team player that can effectively manage multiple tasks. Principal Responsibilities:
- Process manual and EDI customer sales orders and invoices
- Manage inventory control for all domestic warehouse locations.
- Monthly and yearly inventory reconciliation for all locations.
- Review logistics’ payables for all warehouse locations.
- Process intercompany and warehouse related transactions within the companies’ ERP system.
- Process and maintain domestic releases in collaboration with Sales.
- Work with the third-party customs broker to process arrival notices and ISFs.
- Collaborate across multiple teams to implement process improvements.
- Support system and process enhancements to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Address problems and areas where senior management should become more focused.
- Assist with measuring supply chain performance.
- Provide guidance to AR staff related to chargebacks.
- Communicate effectively and accurately with all teams.
- Other job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Logistics, or Business Management
- Years of experience in Logistics: 1-2 years minimum.
- Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills preferred.
- Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and databases
- Passion for problem solving and business process improvement.
- Strong work ethic, high level of motivation, willingness to learn quickly.
- Excellent systems, technology and analytical skills
- Ability to demonstrate competent self-reliance and resourcefulness.
- Ability to multi-task while delivering accurate results.
- Experience with working in an international business setting a plus
- Ability to interact professionally and effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Willingness to travel, less than 5%
