Position Overview
The purpose of the Gallant Internship program is to provide an interesting, challenging and rewarding experience for students pursuing a career in Construction Management, Engineering or related field.
Selected students will partner with company leaders to understand business needs and how efforts are aligned to support short- and long-term projects and company objectives.
Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)
This internship opportunity will include:
- 1-week Orientation including interactive classroom sessions and one-on-one meetings with Executive Leadership.
- 4-week Office rotation to include shadowing and assisting Project Coordinators, Assistant Project Managers and Project Managers, sitting in on safety and staff meetings, as well as intern-specific continuing education and training.
- 6-week Field rotation serving as Assistant Superintendent on a Gallant project(s) which will include shadowing and assisting the Superintendent and Project Manager on daily responsibilities, as well as attending and sometimes leading project meetings.
- 1-week Shared Service rotation to learn about the different areas of Accounting, HR, Marketing, Preconstruction and Safety for an overview of process overlap and project management support.
- A final presentation to Executive Leadership Team regarding “What I Learned” from experiences gained during the program.
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
