  • Shift/Hours: Tuesday 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM, Wednesday 9:00 AM – 1:30 PM, Thursday 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Job Summary:
The Phlebotomist Patient Services Representative plays a critical frontline role representing the organization to patients, delivering compassionate service and ensuring high-quality blood specimen collection. You’ll work directly with patients, helping them feel comfortable and confident during the collection process, while maintaining a safe, accurate, and professional environment.Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform venipuncture and specimen collection (including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary) with confidence and precision.
  • Prepare and label specimens for lab testing while following all standard procedures.
  • Verify patient demographics and ensure correct tube labeling post-collection.
  • Foster an environment of trust by explaining procedures clearly to patients.
  • Ensure accurate recordkeeping and compliance with health and safety guidelines.
  • Work independently in assigned locations, which may include doctor's offices or patient service centers.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor in high-volume settings and respond quickly to staffing needs.

Required Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
  • Previous work in a Patient Service Center environment (minimum 2 years preferred).

Nice-to-Have Experience:

  • Customer service experience in retail or service industries.
  • Keyboard and data entry proficiency.

Required Skills:

  • Excellent phlebotomy skills across all age groups
  • Ability to multitask in fast-paced settings
  • Reliable transportation with valid driver’s license

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong organizational and documentation habits
  • Flexible scheduling and availability
  • Clear, confident communication with peers and patients
  • Adherence to company dress code and safety protocols
  • Decision-making using established procedures

Additional Skills:

  • Phlebotomy certification (Required in CA, NV, WA; preferred elsewhere)
  • Medical training (e.g., Medical Assistant, Paramedic)
  • Demonstrated leadership behavior
  • Comfort working independently with minimal supervision
  • Willingness to travel and float between locations on short notice
