Job Description\n
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Emergency Department night shift position requiring strong acute pediatric and telemetry skills in a Level I trauma setting.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
- Work in a Pediatric Emergency Department serving patients from newborn to age 22
- Department capacity includes 16 treatment areas, 6 for psychiatric patients, 12 observation beds, and 11 urgent care beds
- Night shifts are 12 hours, 7pm to 7am
- Every other weekend and every other holiday are required
- Must successfully complete the Relias Advanced Dysrhythmia Test A or B (testing can be taken twice)
- Expected to work as part of a multidisciplinary pediatric emergency team
- Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travelers (no radius rule for RN Emergency Dept positions)

\n \n Requirements\n
- Active MA RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of recent acute pediatric emergency nursing experience
- Ability to independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips and identify heart blocks is required
- Must pass a tele test on day 1 with 85% or better
- Level I trauma experience preferred
- At least 18 months experience in emergency/trauma setting
- Two professional references, one manager-level with performance evaluation, required for consideration, with one evaluation within the past 12 months
