About Us:

Robert F. Hoofnagle, Jr., M.D., P.A. is a urology practice dedicated to providing compassionate and high-quality care to our patients. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our team and support our physician in delivering exceptional urological care.

Responsibilities:

• Assist urologists with patient exams, procedures, and treatments

• Prepare exam rooms and ensure necessary equipment is ready

• Obtain and record patient vital signs, medical history, and medications

• Perform in-office & ASC procedures, such as catheterization and bladder scans, as instructed

• Provide patient education on treatments, medications, and post-visit care

• Process lab specimens and coordinate diagnostic tests

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR)

• Schedule appointments and manage patient follow-ups

• Ensure compliance with infection control and safety guidelines

• Administer a variety of specialty injections to patients

• Process and maintain prescriptions and results

• Initiate medication prior authorizations/appeals

Requirements:

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential required

• Previous experience in urology or a related medical field preferred

• Strong clinical and administrative skills

• Proficiency in EHR systems (experience with EMA/Modernizing Medicine is a plus)

• Excellent communication and patient-care skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively
