Job Description
As an Entry-Level Production Associate, you will play a crucial role in our sheet metal fabrication process. You will work closely with experienced team members to learn and perform various tasks involved in the production of sheet metal components. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to start their career in manufacturing and gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the setup and operation of sheet metal fabrication machinery, including shears, press brakes, and laser cutters.
- Load and unload materials onto machines and ensure proper alignment and positioning.
- Perform basic quality checks to ensure products meet specifications and standards.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
- Learn and apply various fabrication techniques and processes.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to supervisors.
Essential Skills
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team environment.
- Basic math skills and the ability to read and interpret measurements.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and technologies.
- Physical ability to lift and move materials as required (up to 50 lbs).
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment is a plus, but not required.
- Basic knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes and equipment.

Work Environment
You will be working in a metal shop located in Oakland. The environment is fast-paced and involves the use of various fabrication machinery and tools. Safety is a top priority, and all employees are expected to follow established safety protocols. The role requires physical activity, including lifting and moving materials up to 50 lbs.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oakland, California.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
