Job Description:

This full-time contract role provides Spanish interpretation and translation for diagnostic evaluations, intake conversations, and related documentation. The Interpreter/Translator will support both onsite and virtual appointments while helping ensure clients and families receive clear, compassionate communication during important developmental assessments.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver accurate Spanish interpretation during developmental and autism-related evaluations.
  • Translate diagnostic reports and supporting documents.
  • Support intake and introductory calls with clear, culturally sensitive language services.
  • Manage a mixed caseload of scheduled evaluation sessions and brief, intermittent calls.
  • Complete administrative and documentation tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Approximately 5 years of medical interpretation experience.
  • Medical interpretation certification/credentials strongly preferred.
  • Experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities.
  • Trauma-informed communication style and strong cultural competency.
  • Ability to simplify complex information in an accessible, family-friendly way.
  • Background in early intervention or similar support programs is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills—adaptable, empathetic, and able to build rapport.
  • Emotional maturity and the confidence to advocate for personal workload needs.

Additional Details:

  • Assignment Type: Contract (approx. 3+ months)
  • Schedule: Flexibility within standard 8am–5pm hours; mix of onsite and virtual work
