Job Overview:
AIMS Locum Tenens is seeking a qualified Family Practice Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive outpatient care for active-duty military personnel and their beneficiaries at Luke Air Force Base. The Family Practice NP will serve as a front-line provider for acute and chronic medical issues, preventive services, physicals, and patient education. This is a credentialed, privileged, personal services role within a federal medical treatment facility.
General Duties:
- Deliver patient care within the scope of privileges granted by the MTF.
- Abide by clinical and operational policies of the 56th Medical Group and DHA.
- Ensure continuity of care through consistent documentation and follow-up.
Specific Duties:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a broad range of acute and chronic conditions.
- Perform physical exams, wellness checks, and readiness assessments.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as labs and imaging.
- Prescribe medications and manage ongoing treatment plans.
- Deliver preventive health care including immunizations and lifestyle counseling.
- Document encounters in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Communicate and collaborate with physicians and medical team members.
- Attend staff meetings, clinical in-services, and performance improvement activities.
Qualifications:
- Degree: Masters degree in Nursing or Advance Certification (Certificate of Authority).
- Education: Graduate from an NP program accredited by ACEN or CCNE.
- Certification: Board-certified by the ANCC, AANP, or equivalent for Family Practice.
- Experience: Minimum of 24 months of clinical NP experience in the past 36 months.
- Licensure: Active, unrestricted RN license in any U.S. state or territory.
- Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Credentialing: Must complete and submit a credentialing package within 15 days of acceptance.
Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to treat both pediatric and adult patients.
- Proficient in managing chronic conditions like diabetes, asthma, and hypertension.
- Skilled in preventive care, health education, and coordination of services.
- Competence in EMR documentation and compliance with federal clinical standards.
- Strong communication and patient care planning skills.

Immunization Requirement:
- Must comply with DHA health requirements, including mandatory flu vaccine unless waived
