The Nest Family Center, New Hampshire's first hourly childcare center, is seeking a dedicated full-time Childcare Program Assistant Director to join our leadership team in Londonderry, NH. This full-time role plays a key part in the daily operations of our center, supporting our mission to provide flexible, high-quality service to families with diverse schedules and needs.
THE BASICS
Pay: The position offers a competitive annual salary of $45,000/year.
Schedule: The Childcare Program Assistant Director will work onsite Monday through Friday, typically from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This is a full-time position with no evening or weekend requirements.

YOUR DAY AS A CHILDCARE PROGRAM ASSISTANT DIRECTOR
The Assistant Director will oversee the smooth and efficient daily operation of the center. Your responsibilities will include monitoring compliance with state childcare regulations, coordinating with teaching staff, facilitating curriculum development, and responding to parent and community communications. You will regularly conduct tours for prospective families, support enrollment and scheduling needs, and help maintain organized classroom environments. You will also manage administrative systems, such as voicemails, emails, and attendance records, and will ensure that documentation, safety procedures, and staff-to-child ratios meet all regulatory requirements. In support of the center's needs, you may also step into classrooms as necessary to maintain proper coverage. Collaboration with the Director on hiring processes, staff meetings, and ongoing teacher support will also be key aspects of the role.
REQUIREMENTS FOR A CHILDCARE PROGRAM ASSISTANT DIRECTOR
- Must be at least Associate Teacher qualified in accordance with New Hampshire state guidelines
- 1+ year(s) of experience working in a leadership childcare role OR managing a team in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to lead a team of peers with professionalism and support, as well as multitask effectively while managing both administrative and operational tasks
- Familiarity with state childcare licensing requirements
- Proficiency with software, systems, and digital communication tools
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Calm, friendly, and professional demeanor in a dynamic environment
