Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Outpatient Physical Therapist (PT) specializing in orthopedic and neurological rehabilitation to join a clinic in The Woodlands, TX, on a travel contract. The PT will evaluate and treat patients with musculoskeletal, post-surgical, and neurological conditions, developing individualized treatment programs to maximize recovery and functional independence. The ideal candidate is patient-centered, adaptable, and skilled in providing evidence-based outpatient therapy
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough patient evaluations to assess orthopedic and neurological conditions, functional limitations, and therapy needs.
Develop and implement customized treatment plans focused on pain management, strength, mobility, and neuro-rehabilitation.
Provide therapeutic interventions including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, balance training, and functional mobility activities.
Educate patients and caregivers on rehabilitation goals, home exercise programs, and preventive strategies.
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated patient care.
Accurately document evaluations, treatment sessions, and progress in accordance with facility and regulatory standards.
Maintain a safe and supportive outpatient treatment environment.
Qualifications:
Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
Current and valid Physical Therapist license in Texas (or compact license).
Minimum of 1 year of outpatient PT experience, with focus on orthopedic and neurological rehabilitation.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
COVID vaccine and recent TB test.
Strong interpersonal, assessment, and communication skills.
