Executive Director – Parks Foundation of Miami-Dade, Inc.
The Parks Foundation of Miami-Dade, a private nonprofit supporting one of the nation’s largest accredited park systems, is seeking a passionate and strategic Executive Director to lead fundraising, board operations, expansion, and community engagement. The Foundation advances Miami-Dade Parks’ recreational, educational, environmental, and cultural programs through philanthropic support, partnerships, and volunteer initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
· Develop and execute annual fundraising plans, securing major gifts from individuals, corporations, foundations, and government partners.
· Lead and advise the Board of Directors, fostering collaboration and strategic alignment with Miami-Dade Parks.
· Oversee operations, budgeting, and Foundation-supported programs, ensuring measurable community impact.
· Guide marketing, communications, and donor engagement efforts to enhance visibility and support for Miami-Dade Parks.
Qualifications:
· Extensive nonprofit leadership experience with a track record of working with boards, volunteers, and civic leaders.
· Proven success in gift cultivation and operational management.
· Bachelor’s degree required; advanced experience in nonprofit, business, or fundraising leadership preferred.
· Strong knowledge of Miami-Dade community, philanthropic networks, and parks-related initiatives highly desirable.
Specifics:
· Status: Fulltime
· Salary: $90,000 annual base with additional performance-based compensation tied to fundraising deliverables

Today, Miami-Dade Parks is one of the nation’s largest park systems and stewards of over 300 heritage, regional and neighborhood parks, 73 recreation centers, 19 public pools, 6 marinas, 17 miles of beaches, 5 golf courses, 5 campgrounds, and approximately 40,000 acres of parklands, natural area, and environmentally endangered lands.
