Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity utilizing your expertise as an Occupational Therapist within a supportive school-based environment this ESY session! This role centers on delivering occupational therapy services to students during the Extended School Year program, located near Wilkes Barre, PA. Enjoy a balanced schedule—work Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 8:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., leaving your afternoons open for other pursuits. The assignment runs from June 29th to August 6th, with a required orientation on Monday, June 29th.

What you’ll bring:

Current Pennsylvania OT educator license
Previous school-based occupational therapy experience highly valued
Comprehensive understanding of pediatric OT best practices within educational settings
Excellent organizational skills and flexibility in adapting to student needs
Clear communication and collaborative skills for working with teachers, parents, and administrators

Your responsibilities will include:

Providing direct and consultative OT services for students participating in ESY
Implementing therapy interventions and strategies to support individualized education plans (IEPs)
Progress monitoring and timely documentation of student goals and outcomes
Active participation in IEP or team meetings as needed
Communicating student progress with stakeholders and collaborating to resolve challenges
