Minimum 1+ years Paraprofessional or Special Education experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Support students with life skills development in K-12 educational settings through a full-semester paraprofessional role based in Eugene, OR. This position is onsite and involves working closely with students who have lower cognitive abilities, aiming to foster their independence and daily living skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist students with life skill development in classroom and school environments.
- Support individualized educational plans tailored to each students cognitive and developmental needs.
- Collaborate with teachers and educational staff to create a positive and effective learning atmosphere.
- Monitor student progress and report on developmental milestones and challenges.
- Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities as required.
Qualifications:
- Must have completed 48 college credits or hold an Associates degree or higher.
- Previous experience working with life skills students or students with special needs is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Commitment to student safety and confidentiality.
- Availability to work 35 hours per week, with Wednesdays being early release days.
Location and Duration:
- Positions available onsite in Eugene, OR.
- Contract duration from ASAP through June 12, 2026.
- Two positions available supporting life skills students at local schools.
