Physical Therapist (Part-Time)

Potential Inc.

At Potential Inc., we are dedicated to helping individuals with Autism build meaningful skills and reach their fullest potential. As part of our mission-driven team, our Physical Therapists play an essential role in supporting students within their educational environment by improving motor skills, promoting physical functioning, and building confidence through tailored therapeutic interventions. This part-time school-based position offers a rotating biweekly schedule within a private school in Newtown, allowing you to make a meaningful impact while maintaining flexible hours.

Location: Private School in Newtown, Bucks County Schedule: Part-time, rotating weekly schedule with Extended School Year (ESY) • Week 1: One day (any 4 hours between 9:30 AM–2:30 PM) • Week 2: One day (any 2 hours between 9:30 AM–2:30 PM)

What You'll Do

  • Conduct physical therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans • Implement therapy sessions aligned with each student's IEP goals • Collaborate with educators, paraprofessionals, and families to support student progress • Adapt therapy techniques to meet sensory, behavioral, and developmental needs • Maintain accurate documentation and participate in IEP meetings • Support students in building motor skills, improving mobility, and increasing independence • Provide compassionate, student-centered care that aligns with Potential Inc.'s mission

Who You Are

  • Passionate about helping autistic students gain confidence, physical function, and independence • Experienced or comfortable working in special education settings • Knowledgeable about sensory integration, motor development, adaptive equipment, and assistive technology • Flexible, patient, and creative in adapting therapeutic strategies to meet individual needs • Dedicated to making a meaningful difference through evidence-based, compassionate therapy

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program • Licensed Physical Therapist in Pennsylvania • Successful completion of the National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE) • Completion of 3 hours of PA-approved child abuse recognition and reporting training • Familiarity with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles is a plus
