Culinary Internship Program:
Culinary Interns at Loews Hotels & Co will be immersed in our culinary culture and learn how we have perfected the art and science of creating enriching culinary experiences. From the perfect pool-side meal featuring local flavors to hundreds of picture-perfect plates for a special event, our chefs play a critical role in delivering memorable hospitality every single day.
Culinary Internships are available at the following properties during select semesters in 2024: Miami Beach, Kansas City, Coronado Bay (San Diego) and multiple Loews Hotels at Universal Orlando including Loews Royal Pacific, Loews Sapphire Falls, Loews Hard Rock Hotels, Loews Portofino Bay.

What Will You Learn?
The Loews Hotels & Co Culinary internship has 4 enriching components:

Experience working with:
- Multiple Restaurants, specialty outlets, and managing culinary operations
- Garde Manger
- Banquets
- Pastry
- Stewarding
Learning plans include:
- Culinary techniques including sauté, bake, fry, grill, braise, poach, steam, sous vide, roast, and more customized to experience level
- Food preparation and presentation
- Enhanced knife speed and skills
- Opening and closing procedures
- Equipment knowledge
- Food safety
- Operating standards
- Tasting presentations
- Local flavor partner and more
- Value-added internship experiences include immersion into our culture by experiencing our organizational programs focused on Team Member Engagement, DEI (Diversity, Equity & Inclusion), and Learning & Development.
Mentors will provide:
- Helpful professional feedback and support during your experience
- Exposure to culinary leadership tasks
- Interns will be responsible for completing their weekly reflections in order to capture their learning and maximize the mentoring experience
What You Bring
- Students must be currently enrolled in an accredited, US-based college or university, and be in good academic standing, in order to apply for an internship.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic and eagerness to learn
- Desire and ability to work with others collaboratively
- Excellent communication skills - both oral and written
- Effective organizational skills with a focus on the details, quality, and consistency
- Ability to work flexible schedule to include some weekends and holidays
