Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care in the operating room, ensuring patient safety and adherence to sterile procedures.
- Collaborate closely with surgical teams to prepare and maintain the OR environment.
- Monitor patients during surgery and respond promptly to any changes in condition.
- Perform preoperative and postoperative assessments in line with facility protocols.
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all regulatory standards and hospital policies.
Qualifications & Desired Experience
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license with operating room/nursing experience.
- Current certifications as required by New Mexico state and facility standards (refer to checklist for specifics).
- Ability to comply with New Mexico state fingerprinting and background check requirements.
- Strong knowledge of sterile techniques and surgical instrumentation.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Additional Details
- Orientation occurs weekly on Mondays.
- Candidates located 60 miles or greater from the facility will be considered for travel opportunities.
- All clinical staff must provide proof of required certifications prior to start.
- Compliance with state-mandated background checks and fingerprinting is mandatory; a 14-day supervised waiver may apply.
