Program Associate (Part-Time)
???? Location: Washington, DC (Flagship; In-person)
???? Schedule: Saturday and Sunday (8-hour shifts) 7am-4pm will be determined by hiring manager so flexibility is highly encouraged
???? Hourly Rate: $21.00hr-$22.50hr based on experience???? Status: Part-Time, Non-Exempt

What You’ll Do:
- Build positive rapport with clients through routine contact
- Assist with program setup and closing (meals, toiletries, laundry, cleaning)
- Serve meals and conduct intake and wellness screenings
- Respond to client needs, de-escalate crises, resolve conflicts, and enforce program rules
- Complete documentation (activity sheets, reports, incident reports)
- Support care coordination tasks (referrals, residency forms)
- Collaborate with volunteers and partner agencies
- Participate in team meetings and quality improvement activities
What We’re Looking For:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree + 1 year of social services experience, OR
- HS Diploma/equivalent + 2 years of social services experience, OR
- HS Diploma/equivalent + 5 years of work experience
Preferred:
- Experience with vulnerable populations, addiction, and mental illness
- Familiarity with DC Homeless Management Information System (HMIS)
- Knowledge of homelessness-related issues and trauma-informed care
- Commitment to diversity and inclusion
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong cultural competence and communication skills
- Crisis management and conflict resolution abilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Detail-oriented, organized, and reliable
- Ability to lift 25 lbs
