Schedule: Monday – Friday | 35 Hours/Week
Additional Requirement: 1 Weekend Shift Per Month
Job Summary
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Nurse Supervisor to provide leadership and operational oversight within a busy Emergency Department. The Nurse Supervisor will support patient care excellence, staff development, quality improvement initiatives, and regulatory compliance while collaborating closely with nurse managers and interdisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and develop programs to improve patient care and employee performance
- Monitor patient care quality and nursing performance metrics
- Conduct unit assessments alongside nurse managers
- Assist with corrective action plans and performance improvement initiatives
- Develop and maintain systems for tracking medication errors and counseling activities
- Ensure compliance with nursing standards, policies, and regulatory requirements
- Support staff education, mentoring, and professional development
- Collaborate with leadership to improve patient outcomes and operational efficiency
- Participate in quality assurance and patient safety initiatives
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting processes
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing program
- Active New York State RN License
- Primary Source Verification through NYSED
- Current BLS Certification
- Minimum seven (7) years of nursing experience
- Minimum five (5) years in a supervisory or leadership role
- Minimum two (2) years of Emergency Department experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Nursing
- Previous Emergency Department leadership experience
- Strong performance management and staff development skills
- Experience with quality improvement and patient safety programs
