Location: Brooklyn, NY
Duration: Contract
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 35 Hours/Week
Additional Requirement: 1 Weekend Shift Per Month

Job Summary

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Nurse Supervisor to provide leadership and operational oversight within a busy Emergency Department. The Nurse Supervisor will support patient care excellence, staff development, quality improvement initiatives, and regulatory compliance while collaborating closely with nurse managers and interdisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and develop programs to improve patient care and employee performance
  • Monitor patient care quality and nursing performance metrics
  • Conduct unit assessments alongside nurse managers
  • Assist with corrective action plans and performance improvement initiatives
  • Develop and maintain systems for tracking medication errors and counseling activities
  • Ensure compliance with nursing standards, policies, and regulatory requirements
  • Support staff education, mentoring, and professional development
  • Collaborate with leadership to improve patient outcomes and operational efficiency
  • Participate in quality assurance and patient safety initiatives
  • Maintain accurate documentation and reporting processes

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing program
  • Active New York State RN License
  • Primary Source Verification through NYSED
  • Current BLS Certification
  • Minimum seven (7) years of nursing experience
  • Minimum five (5) years in a supervisory or leadership role
  • Minimum two (2) years of Emergency Department experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Nursing
  • Previous Emergency Department leadership experience
  • Strong performance management and staff development skills
  • Experience with quality improvement and patient safety programs
